I like this tape a lot, even though it’s dated (by Maria’s broad ’80s hair!) . Most of the singing takes status when the Sesame Street gang and a group of kids inch a piano up to the roof to have a sing-along with Bob and Substantial Bird. Workmen Biff and Sully objective happen to be up there “fixing” a TV, where you accept to glance some terrific non-rooftop spots including Grover and the behind sizable Madeline Kahn singing “Disclose After Me,” a sign-language enhanced “Converse,” “We All Insist With The Same Content,” and “Doin the Pidgeon”

Maria, Gordon, Bob, Spacious Bird, Hoots the Owl and the kids all deliver “John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt,” “Traditional MacDonald Had A Farm,”"Stand Up and Pinch Your Nose,” the Alphabet song, a cute upbeat number by Large Bird called “Cheer Up” and, for a mountainous finale, my ultimate popular Sesame Street song, “What’s The Name Of That Song.”

The production values in this tape are very simple – but the focus is on the characters and their voices. Everybody gets to be who they are. I recommend this one to anybody who likes the people on Sesame Street as well as the muppets.

P.S. The video cloak is a diminutive misleading: Ernie and Bert aren’t piece of the sing-along: they appear separately in “Doin the Pigeon” and “Rubber Ducky.” A bit of trivia – this tape started its life as a Sesame Street episode.

This video is our savior! Our 16 month aged daughter never tires of it, and it keeps her totally enraptured for a corpulent half hour! The songs are classic and engrossing, and the premise is cute too. A certain must.

Like a sweet dream half-remembered, “Chungking Tell” wavers on the wait on of your consciousness, seducing you into its semi-fantasy/semi-honest world of the chance of romance, and the necessity of proximity (0.01 of a centimeter is the distance of attraction) to filling an empty heart. It is appropriate that “California Dreaming” is the background for great of the film, because dreaming is what the characters do, appealing sluggishly through a life not quite actual.

It is difficult to know what to manufacture of the film at first. There are two stories, interspersed with each other in through the film, both worship stories enthralling policemen, a deli shop, and women whom they would treasure. Unlike “Pulp Fiction,” they do not meet up at the extinguish, and the strangers remain strangers. There is no trim package. Rather, like Banana Yoshimoto’s novels, they are linked thematically, with the same story being told with different cast members, to gape how each person finds their possess ending, regardless of the beginning. While Yoshimoto is Japanese, and Kar Wai is Chinese, there is a similarity in Asian story-telling evident in “Chungking Enlighten.”

As to this DVD, while it is gigantic to behold Quentin Tarantino bring Kar Wai’s films to a wider audience, I obtain his commentary a bit annoying and self-serving. Taratino makes some stout flicks, and Kar Wai is an definite influence on him, but he doesn’t have the personality to comment on something so sweet and subtle as “Chungking Swear.” This is unbiased a personal observation, however, and others may disagree.

Director Kar Wai Wong is a rising star of cinema, seeping to the public consciousness slowly and surely, becoming less of a “Hong Kong Director” and more of an valuable contributor to novel film. “Chungking Converse” is a beautiful introduction to his work, showcasing his subtle care for stories, expend of atmosphere and disorientating techniques, such as multiple-languages and film manipulation. Anyone who has seen “Lost in Translation,” “Amelie” or “Raze Bill” will gain his films familiar.

Located in the heart of mainland Hong Kong, the Chungking Mansions loom gigantic and ramshackle over Nathan Road. Wags and scoundrels haunt its gates, along with a archaic assortment of Indian touts, whores and long-term transient workers from Africa. Restaurants, tailors, psychics and a whole host of other occupations – some undoubtably illegal – infest the bottom floors in shrimp, grimy compartments. Chungking is also the backpacker ghetto of Kowloon: guesthouses offer rooms as cheap as $10 a night, and the loose, chaotic atmosphere is moving to the more adventurous traveler. When I visited Hong Kong for a week in 2002, there was no other realistic option, for finance concerns and the `lust for life’ drive, than the noxious Chungking: intrigue seemed to lurk around every corner. While staying there, my guesthouse manager suggested I rent and survey the *Chungking Express*, a 1994 film by Won Kar Wai, loosely connected around the building. I never got around to it…until three years later…and in a method I’m jubilant I waited to glimpse this delightful romp about appreciate, obsession and betrayal, for it sparked the nostalgia cylinders and left me in that awed, giddy dwelling that only the best of films can do.

Made on the speedily by Won Kar Wai as a means of rejuvenating his creative energy, *Chungking Mansions* originally consisted of three interlocking stories, but one met the axe (to resurface as its bear film) to give righteous attention (i.e. running time) to those that remained. Of the two stories, only the first has any relation with the Chungking Mansions: a hard-luck dame scours the sleazy corridors for drug-mules, and I must say that the general ambience of the Mansions is faithfully captured. The second account occurs in Kowloon and on the Island, and is connected to the first by one chance encounter (~a shining means of transitioning chapters) and the underlying themes of loneliness, disconnection and desire.

In the first anecdote, undercover cop He Zhiwu (Takeshi Kaneshiro) broods over the disintegration of his relationship with `May,’ pining for his lost worship with a rather unrealistic `period of absence’ diagram and, after a time, seeking comfort from any chance encounter. “I’ll plunge in worship with the next woman I glance,” Zhiwu vows in a fit of desperation; and who should arrive along but Brigette Lin, a mysterious figure whom we’ve already seen in dire straights in the bowels of Chungking. This narrative has the visual glamour of noir – red-lit bars, blur-motion fragments of violence, a femme fatale betrayed and subsequently `saved’ by the gentleman Zhiwu – yet the dialoge really makes it stand above more typical entries into the genre, especially Zhiwu’s internal narration, which ranges from clueless to insightful to downright hilarious. Minute but charming, with enough visceral action and mystery to sustain the go from flagging.

The second anecdote is by far my celebrated of the two, and most audiences agree on this, taking into consideration important acclaim and the reviews on this page; it is easy to watch why. A cop (Tony Leung) stops at the same deli every day for his coffee and chef salad, where he meets and slowly develops a relationship with Faye (Faye Wong), a not-quite-sane nymphet who promptly falls in worship with him. Acquiring a key to his apartment, Faye begins to sneak in and rearrange her secret love’s living quarters while he is gone. Leave it to the Chinese to construct stalker-obsession cute and poignant! Yet it works, due in huge allotment to the natural sounding and psychologically involved dialogue of the script, and therein made effective by the acting of the two leads. Faye Wong, perhaps the biggest pop/rock star in China, makes her cloak debut here, and what a debut! It is practically impossible to not tumble a tiny in like with her furtive, wild-at-heart character. Wong articulates more with a mere notice or throwaway gesture about the great struggle of repressed desire than most professional actors seem advantageous of. Tony Leung, a primitive of Hong Kong’s silver veil, shines as usual as the lonesome, half-oblivious cop, and his energy with Wong feels suitable, so natural. This is very principal in the later climax of the film, when the director stretches the tension to a breaking point and even manages to milk some well-earned trauma from these circling, faraway (so stop) lonely souls.

Watching *Chungking Express* brought benefit a lot of memories. In the background and seeping through the surface, Hong Kong glitters and roars, and the film itself eventually feels like an organic growth of the city, in tune to its rhythms and real-life atmosphere. But one not need be acquainted with the City of the Nine Dragons to devour the quality of *Chungking Express* – this is movie magic in its finest create, infectious and reflective, a paramount example of Asian cinema at its most illuminating. Five stars.

The Law of Ueki is but another title that would have been forever lost to the recesses of time with the demise of anime-giant Geneon. Fortunately Funimation has seen fit to rescue many such properties through a unusual distribution agreement meaning Ueki can be enjoyed by North American audiences in all of its (massive) glory once more.

Coming in at an astonishing runtime of 1275 minutes, The Law of Ueki the Complete Station spans 12 discs and comes packaged in a double-clamshell case (each of which houses six dvds) . The clamshells themselves can be coupled together via the included blots of glue or separated depending upon the shelf-space options of the viewer but be forewarned, in either configuration this status takes up quite a bit of state.

Wearing a very conservative 13 & up rating, the note really is all-age helpful effect for the immense theme of martial arts fighting and cartoon-style violence. Language is quite elegant, there is no nudity, and gore is nonexistent.

Extras approach in the construct of two versions of textless openings, five versions of textless endings, Japanese promotional trailer as well as the US promotional trailer. The biggest contrivance perhaps comes in the beget of the fact that this spot contains 11 never before released episodes.

The language options are typical sub & dub, which of course means that the viewer is given the option between the modern Japanese dialog and the English dub (both presented in Dolby Digital 2.0) with the choice of English subtitles available with either.

The area is shonen in the strictest sense of the term- and is definitely quirky enough to location itself apart from a vast field of competitors (from the likes of Dragon Ball Z on up to Bleach) .

The memoir goes something like this: Kosuke Ueki, a teen with a heart bigger than his brain, must battle other young “power-users” on behalf of his schoolteacher Mr. Kobayashi. This “Mr. K” as he’s known is one of 100 candidates vying to become the Celestial King, and to salvage that honor, his candidate (Ueki) must defeat everyone else’s in one crazy but sizable tournament. Whichever fighter wins gets a reward too: the “Talent of Blank,” which can be any power he desires (hence the blank piece of the name) . However, using their powers on non-combatants will cause existing talents to depart. Gradually, Ueki learns the ways of battle as he meets other rivals with weird powers that scurry him across dimensions in one battle after another.

Pacing is fairly consistent, if on the tiresome side as one might query in a 12-disc series. The ups and downs of the protagonists are typically resolved in each expose, with a few myth threads (watch fights) taking a couple episodes to fully enact. It’s blooming sure that the show’s creative staff clearly had an plan for the conclusion of the stout account arc when they space out to work on The Law of Ueki but left the minor details to sort themselves out as the legend progressed. I say this because often times the entire myth seems to nearly achieve only to be rejuvenated by a character adding something to the execute of, “Oh I forgot to mention it before, but there are four more rounds of fighting after this one.”

It’s forgivable in this case because anyone seeking a masterwork of unique record telling is probably barking up the rotten tree with Ueki anyway. The show’s greatest strength comes in the fabricate of a likeable, upbeat cast of heroes and their ensuing struggle to net a mystic tournament against insurmountable odds. Viewers can seek information from some of the craziest special abilities to ever grace an anime series (and that’s saying a lot) ; things like Ueki’s have ability to turn trash into trees or a kid who can turn bath towels into iron, another guy’s strength stems from spitting out poems (haikus to be proper), and another smooth can turn blueprints into the true thing.

Perhaps stranger than the powers is the motivations- characters are simply driven by the strangest things in Law. Lift our buddy who can turn towels into iron for example: He wants to fight dozen upon dozen of grueling battles in peril to get the coveted “Talent of Blank” (any power he desires in the universe) so as to be able to dig a hot spring one day. Hmm, wouldn’t be a lot easier to simply acquire a shovel (or better yet turn a towel into one) and skip the fighting altogether?

A majority of each episode focuses on what fans really want in a shonen series: fighting. In fact what makes Ueki stand out above the rest is that the formula for victory is typically quite complicated. So complex in fact that it often takes on the construct of solving a mystery for fans watching along (don’t danger, the retort is revealed at the conclusion of each battle and sometimes requires a solid nine-minute explanation) . This works surprisingly well because the rules of the tournament are only less complex than the strengths and weaknesses of any given character’s abilities. Limiting conditions, combos, and teamwork all play a role in each and every battle (especially later on) so examine at least as powerful strategy going into each round as sheer physical disaster.

The dub track isn’t noteworthy but holds up attractive well even against Funimation’s impeccable efforts of slow (albeit overacted with a lot of shouting at times) . Music is catchy and upbeat and the opening theme (which is outmoded throughout) is quite appropriate.

Interestingly, this is the first Geneon/ Funimation collaboration that I’ve encountered thus far that actually retains all of the unusual Geneon trailer previews as opposed to replacing them with Funimation titles. Even the packaging retains Geneon’s plump appearance (put for a slight Funmation badge on the wait on) .

My only exact complaint to portray is that who in the world understanding it was a valid notion not to bother putting numbers on each of the individual discs? This would be forgivable in a two or even four-disc collection but we’re talking twelve discs here! Positive they each depict a different character from the point to, but the only intention to sort things out should you happen to glean them all mixed up is to notice a petite product code on each (12752 is disc 1, 12753 is 2 and so on up to 12764) . Yikes!

In all The Law of Ueki is a solid shonen entry that is distinct to heed fans of the genre with its current characters, consistent rules, and truly one-of-a-kind special attacks. The strategic element is what really separates it from the rest however. Add in the fact that this space packs in 21 and a half hours of action and you have the formula for success. Objective manufacture clear to obvious a enormous area on your shelf first.

As this film opens, a irritable fourteen year frail Walter (Haley Joel Osment) is about to be deposited with his two gruff and spoiled extinct uncles against his will by his mother Mae (Kyra Sedgwick) while she supposedly pursues her education and a career. Hub and Garth McCann, played respectively by Robert Duvall and Michael Caine, are no more enamored of the scheme than is Walter, but an uneasy truce occurs between them as Walter comes to understand their eccentricities and in fact serves as somewhat of an outlet for Garth’s desire to decide down somewhat in his final years. One of the elements twhich makes the film a good delight is the crude nature of the antics of these “dilapidated men”, whether it is shooting at traveling salesmen for fun or alienating their relatives to gain their solitude. The backdrop to the legend is that Hub and Garth are rumored to be quite wealthy; and in fact Walter’s mother instructs him to attempt to locate the source and area of their supposed wealth. (Perhaps the mafia, or bank robberies, or the foreign legion? )

As Walter settles in with them and their numerous dogs (and a pig who thinks he’s a dog), the “set suddenly thickens” as Hub acts strangely and Walter discovers mysterious evidence of a glorious young woman somewhere in their history. Garth tells Walter a wonderful anecdote of foreign adventure and intrigue spicy Hub and the bright princess Jasmine, and the memoir is actually incorporated into the movie in the acquire of the adventure epics of fifty years ago with Emanuelle Vaugier playing the role of Hub’s lost admire. Meanwhile, some “stale” circus animals advance, including a tired and sick faded lion who Walter nurses abet to health as he enjoys the “jungle” habitat provided by the corn field that has emerged from their failed attempt to grow a vegetable garden. The movie reaches a amazing climax as the forces of righteous confront the forces of putrid (accurate silly book style) and Walter is forced to confront the fact that life is beefy of surprises, not all of which include glad endings, and that we have to be strong enough to fetch dreadful truths and depart on.

But, of course, any description of the location doesn’t inform the appeal of this film; the storyline is simply the backdrop for the life which is infused into this movie by the obliging performances of the stars, the safe directing, and the device in which the sage unfolds. It is fun yet touching, with enough elements of the unexpected interspersed with truly laugh out loud amusing incidents to earn the almost two hours sail by. It’s hard to know who is more involving, those feeble second hand lions Robert Duvall and Michael Caine (who do their splendid talents to utilize in a film they have stated that they really enjoyed making) or Jasmine, the circus lion who tedious in life was destined for her moment of glory. And the myth has a advantageous symmetry, both in the juxtaposition of the opening and closing scenes and in the brief appearance of Josh Lucas as the adult Walter. Finally, the climatic moment is followed by a tedious conclusion to the myth which incorporates a truly extraordinary finale.

In some aspects this is a far from perfect film; in some respects it would be easy to write a indispensable review detailing the fact that the location was pure fantasy and that no attempt was made to seriously address many of the issues which the movie raises. But such criticisms would not be consistent with the mood which the movie evoked for me and the remainder of the audience. This movie is about life, about its surprises and its enjoyment, and as corny as it is it is also broad fun. I enjoyed it so great that I have chosen to ignore one of my personal reviewing rules; I decided to round up my rating to five stars in spite of the fact that I haven’t decided if it is wonderful enough so that I will want to occupy the DVD. I know that I’ll be pleased watching it several more times and decided that was agreeable enough. So, go peer this lighthearted film when you want to smile and laugh and feel generous about life and it will confirm that whether you’re dilapidated or a teenager it’s unruffled possible to learn and grow and have a profitable time.

Tucker Andersen

It occurs to me as I sit here pondering my review of “Secondhand Lions” that I must somehow camouflage the first words that arrive to mind. Words, phrases, such as “a feel-good movie” or “superb family fun” or “heart-warming.” As if it were, well, “uncool” to price a movie such things these days, almost like a movie kiss of death. Isn’t this a time of Hollywood special effects? Of hot babes and pyrotechnics? Of gratuitous violence and sensationalism? So it is. And so this movie is not. And oh, we are a pleased audience for it!

Haley Joel Osment, to whom many of us in the movie audience were introduced in “Sixth Sense,” plays Walter, a young boy whose mother (Kyra Sedgewick) pursues everything in life but motherhood. He finds himself dumped like excess baggage on the well weathered front stoop of his two uncles’ country house. The uncles, played with incredible eccentricity by Michael Caine and Robert Duvall, resist but later embrace their young nephew. How the three bond into a moral family is a chronicle that does indeed warm the heart, lighten the spirit, and perhaps even restore a former idea in today’s cynical world that goodness, yes, goodness, smooth has a spot on the silver conceal. Osment is absolutely first rate in this movie, and the two vintage stars, Caine and Duvall, mild shine as brightly as ever, if not more so.

It may be that the popularity of movies such as this could send Hollywood a message. Salubrious is unexcited proper on the movie camouflage.

This is definitely a MUST Choose DVD for any die-hard euro-horror fan! This ridiculous and extremely keen 1965 Italian horror-romp stars Mickey Hargitay (Jayne Mansfield’s husband) as “The Crimson Executioner”. He struts around bare-chested wearing red tights and admiring his muscular body in the mirror as he rubs it all over with oil. When a film crew comes to his castle, he starts torturing and killing them off one by one, overacting all the device! Mickey is a legal ham and jumps around the veil like a lunatic throughout. One spacious highlight is a room with a giant spiderweb and a hungry spider. And then, of course, there’s the torture chamber. There’s a rotating torture plan that Mickey ties bikini-clad women up to and as it turns a arresting blade rips and tears at their skimpy brassieres and lightly scrapes their flesh! And with Mickey running around half-naked throughout in his red tights, were they also going for a delighted audience? It’s all quite tame by today’s standards, but at the time, this must have been quite a sensation! It’s a vast sleaze-trash classic NOT TO BE MISSED!

The DVD presents the film in it’s U.S. 73-minute abbreviated version. 9 minutes were trimmed out of the complete version (“A Myth of Torture”) by it’s American distributor. The deleted scenes are included as a supplement (including the alternate title sequence), but it’s too unpleasant they didn’t restore the footage aid into the film. Something Peculiar offers the complete 83 limited version “A Anecdote of Torture” on VHS under the “Bloody Pit” title so you would have belief this would be the same print. BUT it’s not… maybe because the print ancient here looks a lot better than the “Torture” print and it’s fully letterboxed whereas the “Torture” print was only marginally letterboxed. Also, the movie has never looked better than this transfer…the colors are vibrant and arresting and the detail is quite generous (although there is some minor artifacting) . So, having the deleted scenes as a supplement only was probably a estimable decision.

Other extras include a rather passe (and kind of lame) U.S. trailer, a clip from the movie “Faded Fancy” with Jayne and Mickey shot around the same time and another clip called “Cloak Girl Slaughter” which shows a lurid magazine camouflage photo shoot featuring women staged in abolish or death scenes (mildly comic) . The best extra is the gallery of exploitation art and ad-slicks for lots of ultra-rare terror and trash flicks from the 60′s and 70′s. It’s accompanied by an audio track of rare radio spots including the celebrated “Last House on the Left” – It’s Only a Movie dwelling, the “Stamp of the Devil” – Vomit Bag region and many more! All in all a mammoth DVD. Recall It Now!

STORY: Seeking a gothic background for a dread photo shoot, five sexy veil girls and a handful of photographers demolish into what they lift is an uninhabited castle and are soon taking a series of macabre stills in its dungeon. But–surprise!–residing in the castle is demented actor Travis Anderson (Mickey Hargitay) who thinks he’s the reincarnation of The Crimson Executioner, a 17th century madman whose body is entombed in the castle’s iron maiden. When Travis recognizes one of the models as his traditional fiancee, his already unhinged mind completely snaps. He gleefully subjects the trespassers to a variety of bizarre and elaborately-conceived tortures: “The Crimson Executioner cries out for blood!”

PICTURE: 4/5 Where did Something Unfamiliar Video fetch this print? It looks broad! Bloody Pit of Apprehension is shown here in PsychoVision (1.85:1) and like i said looks sizable. The report is absorbing with nice stong colors and deep blacks. I only saw two scenes that had print afflict and it was not distracting at all. Overall, a tremendous looking portray for such a outmoded film.

SOUND: 4/5 The sound is Mono English dubbed and sounds very sterling. The track is neat and sounds certain.

EXTRAS: 3/5 You accumulate some really exclusive stuff here. First you accept the films trailer which does not discover no where as valid as the film looks. Next you pick up some deleted scenes, a long art galley with some cold radio place for a ton of other films and some odd short films.

OVERALL: 5/5 If your a fan of movies that are so terrible that there top-notch, then this DVD of Blood Pit of Dismay is for you. Win it up today. Plus, Mickey Hargitay’s performance as the Crimson Executioner is so crazy and goofy, you have to peruse it!

The fights all over Karakura continue to rage between the Bounts and Ichigo’s shrimp gang, and even the addition of some seasoned Soul Reaper lieutenants doesn’t guarantee success. “Bleach Volume 21″ is basically a solid slab of continuous combat against the Bounts’ superpowered dolls, although the third episode on here feels like it was rushed through production while most of the staff (and one advise actor) was sick.

Ichigo’s hopeless fight against Koga and Dalk is interrupted by Kira’s sudden intervention, and his zanpakuto turns out to be perfectly worthy to defeating the solid steel doll. And Yoshi’s fight with Rukia and Orihime is interrupted when the crazed Mabashi decides that HE wants to fight them — and his doll burrows into Rukia’s body and turns her into a killing machine. Despite the intervention of Shuhei Hisagi, Orihime is faced with a ghastly decision: waste Rukia to set aside her and her friends, or fetch some other arrangement of freeing her from Mabashi.

Meanwhile, Chad, Ururu and Noba are joined by Rangiku Matsumoto, unbiased in time to fight the former Bount Sawatari, whose doll Baura turns out to be a astronomical fish that can swim through solid objects. Energy blasts, special powers and even living beings all pick up transported into a dimension inside Baura — meaning that Rangiku and Chad have microscopic chance of beating Sawatari, especially when Noba is injured in the fight. And in the Soul Society, a novel jam has cropped up…

About 90% of “Bleach Volume 21″ is devoted to action sequences — giant wooden fish, exploding silos, flying flower-foxes, eruptions of kido energy and the occasional blast from itsy-bitsy mad ninja fairy Tsubaki. Everybody is fighting the Bount and getting beaten up because of it, and at times it becomes a graceful bleak anecdote, with runt humor or levity to lighten the set.

Fortunately the writers win some brief time outs where the suited guys regroup, strategize, and observe medical relieve for their wounded. And the action slows down at the kill of the fourth episode, taking us to the Soul Society where an invisible intruder stirs up a miniature more mystery for the Soul Reapers (particularly an short-tempered Ikkaku) . And it seems like we might be about to learn why the Bounts want Uryu so considerable.

The third episode is a bit of a headscratcher, though — it sounds like someone other than Jamieson Effect is voicing Chad, and doing a contemptible imitation. And the animation is very wobbly; an otherwise frigid fight scene at the climax is marred by Chad and Sawatari suddenly developing astronomical, lipless, teeth-filled mouths and lots of facial lines.

It’s rather nice to behold some of the familiar Soul Reaper characters such as Rangiku, Shuhei and Kira, who explain that they’re quite grand and sometimes clever. And there are brief appearances approach the raze by Byakuya, Zaraki and the ever-feisty Ikkaku. In the world of the living, there’s a rather touching scene that reinforces the friendship between Rukia and Orihime, as well as Orihime’s determination to back her friend… even if it is a bit too great like Healing With The Power of Luv.

And cute microscopic Noba (who has some truly awe-inspiring abs) gets a crush on Rangiku. It doesn’t acquire cuter than that.

The twenty-first volume of “Bleach” is crammed with intricate and deadly fighting, but the ending hints at some further station twists yet to approach. Except for the awkward third episode, this is a sure-fire winner.

VIDEO & AUDIO:

“Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana” is presented in Tubby Cover (1:33:1) and is presented in Dolby Digital Surround Sound. For the most piece, record quality is better than the broadcast. Everything was gracious, although a segment in the “Hannah Montana” episode during a scene which eager Jackson and friends, represent quality looked quite blurry. But for the most portion, all three episodes spy respectable on DVD. As for audio, audio is sure and understandable. Personally, I found it great more involving to have the audio on my receiver situation for stereo on all channels.

Subtitles are featured in English SDH and Spanish.

JUDGMENT CALL:

For Disney Channel fans of the unique sitcoms “Wizards of Waverly Set”, “Suite Life on Deck” and “Hannah Montana”, to spy a crossover with the three shows is quite rare and attractive for the fans. Well, technically the only episode to feature characters from all three shows is in the second episode “Double Crossed” and for some reason, the cast of the “Wizards of Waverly Area” and “Hannah Montana” do not interact in any of the episodes. Nevertheless, the storylines do tie the characters of each prove together.

For the most piece, fans of the three-episode crossover can’t earn anything imperfect with this release. For the most fragment, all episodes are quite appealing, hilarious and family splendid. I watched the DVD along with my son who enjoyed the crossover when it first aired on television and was wrathful to leer it all over again.

As for the crossover episodes, I did feel that Brenda Song’s character London Tipton (“Suite Life on Deck”) was a bit too uncaring and self-centered in the special crossover episodes, especially on the “Hannah Montana” crossover episode. But there were a expedient number of scrumptious scenes throughout the three episodes. I found it lively to search for Bailey and Alex hanging out, Justin and London on a date, Zack and Max square off against each other, Cody and Harper enjoying their knowing side of each other and more. Also, for “Suite Life on Deck” fans who wanted to peep Cody and Bailey grow closer, those fans gain to seek how it all happens.

The added bonus features on the DVD was a nice touch but I wish they were remarkable longer but for the most share, fans of this special crossover will be entertained by them.

Overall, “Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana” was a fun, animated and hilarious DVD. Each crossover episode is fun for the entire family and for fans of each series series, overall this DVD release is quite solid. Definitely check it it out!

Fans of 60′s television probably remember when characters from one series would “crossover” to another explain, usually produced by or at the same studio. Morey Amsterdam appeared in his “Dick Van Dyke Expose” character of Buddy Sorrell on an episode of The Danny Thomas Prove. The casts of “The Beverly Hillbillies,” “Petticoat Junction” and “Green Acres” often popped up on each other’s shows. Rhoda called Mary Richards on her demonstrate. It’s kind of a TV tradition (or gimmick, depending on whether your glass is half paunchy or empty) .

The Disney Channel sitcom characters have been doing this sort of thing for years, but probably never as elaborately in “Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana,” which are basically three half-hour episodes that connect with each other: a winning essay lands the Russo teens on the S.S. Tipton, where Hannah Montana is having a concert. It all comes together rather well, considering how many behind-the-scenes intrigues and approvals it may have keen (all three shows have different productions companies and crews even though they’re all unusual Disney Channel series) .

For fans, it’s the stuff dreams are made of — “Wow! Justin is meeting London as if she’s a celebrity, and we all know how ditzy she is!” “Wow! Miley and Selena in one prove!,” etc. There’s an entertaining short bonus feature about the making of the trilogy with a selection of humorous bloopers, as well as a short feature called “How to Write an Essay,” a tongue-in-cheek glance at the writing process narrated by David “Justin” Henrie.

It might have been nice to have one or two bonus episodes, since all we pick up here are a total of three. It also might have been captivating to seek how the episodes might have been edited together as if they were a feature/ But it’s a convenient contrivance to have the crossover “event,” as it were.

As a impress for those who like to retain track of these things, the three episodes are: “Castaway (to Another Exhibit) ;” “Double Crazed” and “Orderly(stitious) Girl.” And as a further stamp, this is the first Disney DVD I can consume that does not launch with Captain Jack Depp saying, “We have our heading” leading to a promo for Blu-Ray.

A mainstay on HBO around 1982-83, “Lady Chatterly’s Lover” is a soft-core romance, but not a sleazy one. It wasn’t successful in theaters, maybe because nobody knew what audience it was targeted to (surely not literature addicts or art-house filmgoers; maybe Sylvia Kristel/”Emmanuelle” fans) . Consequently, it was common on cable and video, where viewing privacy can elicit whatever reactions important (mostly giggles) . It isn’t very well-made, but the acting is decent and the passion is convincing. The editing is sloppy, with some sequences, and the ending, sever short, but it does have a few steamy scenes, frisky nudity, and valid plot filming.

This 1981 (not ’82 as suggested) film adaptation of the D. H. Lawrence classic is an appetizing B-ride if only for its panoramic scenery of foggy London and the sexually attractive performances of its stars. Indeed, Sylvia Kristel (Emmanuelle) and the behind Nicholas Clay (Excalibur) bring nothing but skin to their characters of an unlikely duo inviting in a torrid affair. Over an ultra-syrupy catch (by Richard Harvey and Stanley Myers), and a well utilize of camera work by Robert Fraisse, the two go at it with all their splendor, leaving nothing to the imagination except to wonder if the movie would have been better had a talented cast been eager. Since it isn’t but remains palatable despite its flaws, this LADY CHATTERLEY’S LOVER is superficial enough to be camp classic material, which is, as we all know, an distinguished factor for lovers of such films.—–Martin Boucher

For me a 3-star ratng is an impartial rating and means it’s a decent intriguing flick in a general intention, not something everyone has to have and perhaps a suitable occupy for fans of the Dirty Pair, but otherwise objective a movie aimed at a big audience who likes watching movies in general. I have the current Dirty Angels: Girls With Guns (weak but watchable) and Dirty Pair Flash: Angels at Worlds Destroy and these are all prime-time series anime specializing in a new-situation-each-episode themes. They aren’t unbelievable but not unpleasant either.

In Random Angels (for example) Kei rescues a rich hier-to-a-fortune baby in snowy mountain terrain (and being female has a natural pacifier when it’s bottle runs dry), Yuri and Kei are targets of a teenage assassin who uses toys (Yuri’s top is popped when Kei grabs her to preserve her from falling in a swimming pool of acid – and their cutey-girl assassin transforms ala “Sailor Moon” into a cutey-vixen there is a hint of nipples), the girls explain lots of slinky skin when they remark for a beach ball competition to nab a criminal, a criminal curved on vengence wreaks havock with the 3WA building and they place their boss (robotic armor and chaos and dang-nab the paperwork), and the episode I haven’t watched has Kei falling for a guy who actually obsessed with her to the point of making a robot of her. (Saving it for later.)

The girls sometimes cause more destruction than they avert; fans who have never tried Hyper Dolls should give that a whirl, too. Since mayhem flashes to being when the girls bag going.

There is a tiny amount of nudity (loyal R-rated nudity: you glean glimpses of both girls nipples once each, but only once), there is profanity and there is violence: but overall, this is aimed at a more dilapidated young-adult evening audience, with runt humor and tame theme mainly concentrating on suspenseful action. It isn’t chocked pudgy of sex, nudity, blood gushing violence (although there is right killing going on), etc., it’s fair another sci-fi anime of trouble-shooters for a quasi-police organization. For example, the assassin girl drives a mono-bike (a just monbike where the rider sits in the center and the wheel runs around them) and has robotic dive-bombing birds, and yet retreats to a castle to prefer the girls. Frail and unique mix. I’d rate it PG-13 or such mainly because it is not a indicate for pre-schoolers. (Less your pre-schoolers are composed dilapidated) .

Technically, while a casual fan I glean the voices of the girls a small annoying; maybe the sound quality isn’t that tall, but they sound like they suffer a severe case of smokers-throat. And thus, I like the shows but I’m not blind to their faults. Overall, the art is pleasing decent but not beautiful.

Extras include the general area of scene selection, character BIOs, trailers, and things I never bother with because in the ruin they unprejudiced never add any value to the DVD for me. I eye movies for the movie, not extras (Oh wow, stills from the movie! Gee, what fabulous extras! Blah!) .

When I am bored of cutey movies and too-solemn blood gushers and comical laugh-aholic flicks, I pop the girls in for a change of tear, having as I do a wide selection of DVDs of varying tastes for varying moods.

I have recently seen every Flash episode on Showtime Beyond and to effect it simply, most all of the episodes revolve around the same themes. Kei and Yuri score themselves in a jam time after time again, whether it be in their search for the bad Flair or Yuri’s endless search for the fair guy. For those who know nothing of this series yet are eyeballing it as a possible retract, I have but a few things to say. First and foremost the name Dirty Pair is not a pun for endless sex scenes. Though there is nudity in some of the episodes in shower scenes, there is no sex whatsoever in any of the episodes. Secondly, this series has a few flaws with the dubbing which compose it annoying at times and hard to absorb with, especially whenever something intense is happening. The anime mainly has a light-hearted tone and is not meant to be taken very seriously. Also, the animation is a bit broken-down and some of the effects (i.e. explosions, gunshots, etc.) aren’t that admirable. But if you can glimpse past that Dirty Pair will not leave you disappointed. For those looking for hentai with loads of glance candy, this isn’t for you. However, if you’re looking for a comedy with action and an bright storyline, the endless antics and bloopers of Kei and Yuri will undoubtedly withhold you keen from initiate to execute.
